Photo Bomb: Eagle Point, Grand Canyon West

Eagle Point Grand Canyon West

It’s called Eagle Point because the formation in the Canyon here is in the shape of an eagle spreading its wings. Air tours are given by helicopters that make frequent fly-bys out in the distance; seeing the aircraft as a small speck against the backdrop of the rock walls, one realizes how massive the Canyon is. Considering the crowds that enjoy this part of the Canyon, it’s a little surprising that a safety railing hadn’t been placed along the edge of this lookout since incidents involving too many falling tourists are possible. Then again, people still fall otherwise.
